Are there wildcards for Smart Office Drill Around or Info Browser Fields?

Say I want to see all rows in the "GLTrans" table "Description" that contain a text string anywhere in the field. Say "110".

So in the Info Browser widget you can do a search like this by setting up a criteria(see image below), but this is too hard to show users how to do. You need to go into to setting and need to know the name of the field in a long list.

Can you do this with wildcards somehow directly in the text box?  Something like *110*? They have these text boxes right below the column names, but the the only filtering I can seem to do is "Starts With" or Equals".

Drill-Around looks the same, it would be pretty cool if could use wildcards here as well...

    Thanks So Much, Paul

Yes there are 'wildcards' as you call them. We refer to them as filter tokens and they are different from other Lawson query tools you may have used.
For example, we have some powerful date filter tokens: "[currentmonth-1]" will find data for the previous month or "<[currentmonth-1]" finds data prior to last month.

We have tried to be consistent across all places where filtering is available - Info Browser, List Driven forms and Drill Select. It really wasn't until release 10.1.2 that we caught up in all of those areas.

Know that every filter text box has a context menu available that will help you learn what the tokens are and then (beginning with 10.2) you can simply key them in.
For your example, you could simply enter "~110" in the description column filter text box.

BTW - how were you able to insert that picture?

I should have clarified that statement about simply keying in the filter token.

Prior to release 10.2 (which we are hoping will be available to Lawson users very soon) it was also possible to key in the token.
However, in those prior releases it is necessary to first key in the search text and then enter the token at the beginning of the text.
With 10.2 that will no longer be the case - the token can be entered followed by the search text.

Thanks I will try the filter tokens.

          Inserting Pictures:
          I just pasted it.

I only did this because I wanted the mouse roll over in the picture:
I used the Print Screen button, pasted into a photo editing program, then pasted it into the forum editing tool.

Normally I would have use the the windows 7 "Snipping Tool", and then pasted it into the forum editing tool.

OK - I was using the 'Quick Reply' and it only accepts text.
I now see the 'Add Reply' button gives me a full featured editor. Thanks.

Here's the picture of a filter field context menu I wanted to paste in the initial response.

Notice it's also possible to filter on global/role/user variables.

                A picture says a 1000 words. I can't believe I missed that. Thanks again.

Of course did I find * is "starts with"(not listed), but this is the default functionally! I was wondering why the asterisk was disappearing if it was not a wildcard.
