    Installed on Win 2008 R2 - LCM 9.1.9
On 2nd Server (alson Win2008 R2) Installed LCM service

    Installed Grid 10.1.8.1
Grid Extension (Session Provider) 10.1.8.0 into new grid (LSOGrid)
    Companion(Grid) 9.1.4 into grid (LSOGrid)

All installs are done with UID that is in the LCM Admin group.

Uploaded LSO 10.0.1...it shows in the Application list (left side of LCM Client)

When I right click on the Application (LSO) and click install I get "Can not install Server for Lawson Smart Office 10.0.1. No available location exist or the user is not authorized to install Server for Lawson Smart Office 10.0.0

When I right click on the Grid where I want to install and click INSTALL, the resulting dialog box shows my Grid Extensions and Companion applications but no LSO application.

Any ideas on what the issue might be?

That would be the expected behaiviour if you already have any version of LSO installed in that grid, but since it look like you have installed everything brand new it muste be something else. I did test the same scenario and I was able to install LSO. Verify thet your Grid version is 10.1.8.1.13 or higher.

The Version of the grid shows as 10.1.8.1.23.   I think that i may just have to scrap what I have done to this point and remove the grid and LCM serivce on the to0be LSO machine and do it again.  Does any know the best way to uninstall everything to get to a clean system point...or am I going to have to restore the server?

          OK...
I found 1 issue (or at least think it may be the issue).  Under the Admin View >>Roles Tab I found that the "connected LDAP Groups" listed "LCMADMIN" and "LCMAdmin" as 2 different groups.  Based on screen shots I took of the install I found that I had entered LCMADMIN during the LCM install, but in the AD the group was named LCMAdmin.  Couldn't see why that would be an issue but it is Lawson.

I removed the applications from the grid, uninstalled the grid, uninstalled the service.

I changed the lcm.properties file, correcting the LCMADMIN to be LCMAdmin and restarted that service

I went back to the service machine and began the installation.  This time instead of just doing "java -jar installLCMService.jar"  I entered the full path ' "E:\java\bin\java" -jar installLCMService.jar'

With that I was able to install LSO

As a followup the situation reappeared on my 2nd install but backing out the GRID and reinstalling corrected the issue.

The 3rd installation went completely smooth.  I figured out if I upload Grid, Companion, Grid Extensions and the LSO install before installing any of those components that the issue did not recur
