Application Name The Application Name is the name of the
application that describes the database
names it contains. This user-defined
name can contain up to eight characters.
The first letter of the name must be
capitalized.

Database Name The Database Name is the name of the
database that is stored within the OLAP
application. Each application may
contain more than one database. This
user-defined name can contain up to
eight characters. The first letter of

names of the Lawson applications that
can be requested to supply information
to the OLAP database. The Lawson
applications that are currently

CX = Case Cart Analyzer
PO = Purchasing Analyzer
WO = Work Order Analyzer

Activity Activities are the processes or
procedures that produce work. Cost
objects (products, services, customers,
and so on) are the reasons for
performing the activity. Activities and
cost object activities are used
synonymously in the Activity Management
system. Direct costs are posted to
activities, and indirect costs are
allocated to activities based on
activity drivers.
Activities are grouped or organized by
activity levels. There are two kinds of
activities: "posting allowed" and
"summary only." Use posting level
activities to budget and maintain all
posted transactions. Summary activities
or macro activities combine information
and balances from lower level activities
for reporting and inquiries.

a unique prefix name that differentiates
the members in the Organization
dimension with similar members in other
dimensions. This prefix can contain up
to five characters of any kind.

Organization Alias The Organization Alias Option field
Option Name contains the value that represents the
alias name for the members of this
dimension.
Valid values are:
1 = Company, accounting unit, and
description of accounting unit; Default
value.
2 = Company and accounting unit
3 = Description of accounting unit.

Company The Company field contains the company
number that is used in the Organization
dimension.

Accounting Unit The Accounting Unit field contains the
name of the accounting unit that is used
in the Organization dimension. If this
field is blank, all accounting units are
included as members in the dimension
outline. This name can contain up to 15
alphabetic characters.

Company Group The Company Group field contains an
identifier that represents a group of
companies that are included in the
Organization dimension. This identifier
can contain up to 12 alphabetic
characters.
