AR136

AR136 - Finance Charge Initiation

Run AR136 (Finance Charge Initiation) to begin assessing finance and late
payment charges. Run AR136 only if the system was originally set up not top
assess finance charges or late payments charges, but you find that they are
needed at a later date. AR136 allows you to select the date that charges will
begin.

Finance charges can be defined at various default levels in the Lawson
Accounts Receivable system. Following is the default order the system searches
for the finance charge information.

1. Customer level - AR10 (Customer)
2. Customer Default level - AR08 (Customer Defaults)
3. Company level - AR01 (Company)

For more information on finance charges refer to the online help for the
finance charge fields in AR01, AR08, AR10, and to the Accounts Receivable
Procedures Manual.

If you do not run AR136 to define a start date before you run AR137 (Finance
Charge Late Payment), AR137 will assess finance and late payments charges on
all open, past due transactions for a customer regardless of transaction age.

Important: AR136 should only be run once in update mode.
