IC179

IC179 - Delete Freeze Records

Run this program to delete freeze records created for a select ID in IC170
(Freeze Selected Items). Freeze records are snapshots of item stock-on-hand
quantities. During the physical inventory update process, quantities are
compared to actual count quantities in IC175 (Update Variances) to create
variance entries for general ledger. If you do not select to delete freeze
records at that time, you can delete them in this program. Also, run this
program to delete freeze records if for some reason the physical inventory
process is interrupted and you want to start over and create new freeze
records.

You must delete freeze records before you can use the select ID again for
another physical inventory count. When you delete records depends on when you
explain count variances. If you explain variances prior to update, you can
delete records in IC175 (Update Variances). If you explain variances after
update you must delete records in this form after you explain variances by
reason code in IC76.1 (Variance Reasons).

Note: You will not lose variance information if you delete records. You can
print variance explanations in IC284 and accuracy progress in IC286.
