On lsf9.0.0.7 and apps 8.1 in windows shop, upgrading to apps 9.0.0

We are told that all jobs have to have a unique name per environment, so when we install apps 9 into our prod enviro for testing, we have to RECREATE all of our jobs with new names. This is going to require a screen by screen parameter review and creation as i'm told. ( good times )

Our GL group is curious to know how this will affect their rw100 jobs and reports. There are about 22 RW100 jobs saved, but 100's of 'reports'. Will the reports also have to be recreated?

Also..there are excel files that reference the rw100 output files/cells..if the output files change at all, this could mess up many of our excel template files.

Can anyone offer advice or a light at the end of this tunnel??? please

You are correct. If your 8.1 and 9.0 product lines are within one environment, you will need different job names. Of course, depending on the system you are using, you have to revisit jobs anyway. For example, the only change to many reports in AP is th adddition of company group. As this field appears toward to beginning of the parameters, it would throw off the job definition even if you were in separate environments.

The RW100 reports themselves do not have to be recreated and the output files should not change. Of course, if you access the output files directly from the print directory, the directory will change although the actual file name (based on the RW00 report) will not.
