We've changed our review codes and want to update our prior review records with this new coding structure. Is there an easy way of doing this using Addins?

I believe the review code field is part of the key fields and can't be changed. You could delete the old ones and add new ones with all the same info except for the new review code via Add-Ins.

I have no idea if it's easy or not, but you can get a template from Lawson to change PA26 (the URL that had all the add-ins templates is no longer available) - you'll need to open a case with them

Just curious, though - changing a PA26 would then require you to have an employee re-acknowledge the change, correct? Wouldn't you want to just use the new codes going forwardl, instead of back filling? Seems to me that you'd be opening your organization up to some big liability issues if you just change the information, regardless of whether it is a positive, negative or neutral impact (that's my HR paranoia.......)

        Good luck

To change an existing record on PA26 you will need to use the sequence number assigned in the review table otherwise you are just adding a new record.

If you pull the data from the review table and include the sequence number you will be able to change the existing record.

The other key field will be the Hidden Key (HK) field that is a string containing company, employee, rev schedule date, rev code.

I think it would be easiest to just pull ALL of the records into Excel... Delete all of those records from PA26 (using Add-ins) - Change the values that you want changed in the excel file... Now just use Add-ins to upload the new values.

(If you do not have a template for add-ins you should be able to get one from Lawson Support.)

It sounds more involved than it is... (I have a process flow that pulls the values from another performance system and loads them to PA26 daily. If the other performance system has a change we sometimes have to delete or change the record on PA26.)

Good luck - if you want I could help you with the steps.
