Does anyone know the secret to getting time & expense mgmt to work with processflow for approval routing?

We've run pfserv config, looked at the sample flow files installed in the \Process Flow directory on the psa server, setup the appset settings to tell psa to use processflow instead of psa approvals, but we are unable to submit an expense report.

When we attempt to submit an expense report, we get the error message,
"an error occured in COM invocation.  Error information: Source:  HTTP response status was not 200."

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Did you look up that error message in the Knowledge Base? That's one place I'd look for clues and a diagnosis. You'd be surprised.

I'd also recheck all your processflow set up: Service, Process, etc. and all of the required settings on PSA.

What version of Lawson environment and apps is this?

There are about a dozen steps and touchpoints involved, most of which are dependent on your configuration, e.g. using Lawson Portal vs. T&E's portal, using SSO, setting up the PSA identities for the T&E users, back-office integration, setting up the linkage between PF service, flow and PSA, etc. etc. etc.

    Here's more on our environment:

LSF 9.0.0.5, apps (financials) are 9.0.0.5.  Using Lawson Portal 9 and already have SSO configured so users are able to login to standard back-office Portal and use the T&E bookmarks as well.

    John,

Can you be more specific about your comment on the linkage between PSA and PF?  For example, I know Lawson provides sample flows (such as ERApp.xml for expense report approvals), but do they also provide any samples or documentation on how to create the ERApp service definition on the processflow server?

    Thanks,

    Dave

I have never seen any comprehensive documentation from Lawson on this; just various fragments which I've had to piece together--along with "down in the trenches" exploring to get this implemented for clients. Someone at Lawson actually told me that I'm the only consultant outside of Lawson who had successfully done a working/integrated install. I'm not sure if that's an endorsement of me or an admission of how complicated and undocumented it is ...
