I have to correct the balance on PR14 for all of the ER deductions for employees that have changed plans during the year, and to update plans where the balance was set up incorrectly on BN15/ BN18.6/ BN19.3. I'm trying to do it with Add-ins but it wants to update the limit on the deduction that has an end date instead of the current deduction. I tried using the effective date of the new deduction, but then I get an error saying that I can't change the effective date. Has anyone updated PR14 with add-ins, and are you willing to share how you did it?

I'm not sure if it works through Add-Ins, but if you want to update a deduction associated with a Benefit through the PR514 conversion program, you need to include the EDM-DED-SEQ-NBR value. This field keeps track of the multiple deductions associated with benefit years and rate changes and is unique to the employee and benefit. So you will need to do a dump of EMDEDMASTR to determine the sequence number for each person that needs to be updated.
Hope that helps.

Thank you!!! Addins has the SEQ number available so I will be able to dump everything out of EMPDEDMASTR and fix what I need to and then uploade the balance change via add-ins - you saved me a ton of work - thanks again!

I am really new to Lawson. Is there any good documentation about uploading benefits for Open Enrollment anywhere? I really appreciate anything you can tell me?
Thanks.

did you check the EMSS user guide from Infor Lawson? It has a lot of good information in it.
