That's all you need as long as the Keyword exists in the KWDMASTER table.

Sheri - it's where you make the search engine in RQC return similar values. For example - UNDERPAD is abbreviated to UNPD.

In IC32, we asscociate UNPD with: Underpad. Underpads, Chux, Chucks - Then run an IC180 - Now in RQC in Search Catalog - typing in CHUX will return all items with UNPD in their description.

As Jon pointed out - you need to have the abbreviation (keyword) in your item master FIRST and then you can load synonyms for it by mapping the abbreviation to Keyword, FC A (Add) and the full word to synonym - I don't mess with the r0, r1 when loading multiples - it works fine and when you go back and inquire, all values list.

Hi Kat, Do you know if there is a IC report that can be run to find all the items under a certain description besides RQC?

Not a report that exports - that's all sql here.  (Jon might have a crystal report)

 

IC30 screen lists all items for any one of the following: Attribute List, Description, Description2, Description3, Generic Name, Purchase Class, Inventory Class, Sales Class or User Field 1.
