DB Plan accruing contribution beyond Annual Comp Max

We have a DB Plan that accrues contributions based upon a percentage of compensation.  However, even though we have the Annual Limits set up on BN12.1, the plan continues to accrue contributions beyond the annual compensation limit.  Does anyone know if there is something we might be missing in the plan setup to account for this issue?  Nothing seems obvious and there is a lot of documentation around DC Plan limits but very little around DB Plans.

Check the "apply max limit" on the BN15 and on the employees HR11 record.

I am not sure if those apply to DB plans or not but that would be my first line of defense.

We only use a DB plan set up so we can extract records based on enrollment groups and dates.
