Currently out employee ids are the employee's ssn.  We are planning a project to convert these to a random number and start using Lawson to create a new employee id for new employees.  Has anyone gone through this process?  Was it done in-house or did you use an outside consulting company or Lawson professional services?  Any advice, wisdom or gotchas is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Cindy

Cindy.... that is a big task ahead of you.... It is best to do a Lawson to Lawson conversion. There are just too many tables that need to be touched to do this.

Well entire Lawson HRMS will be impacted by this, if you have in-house expertise, only go for it else you can look outside to complete this task. I totally agree with you that SSN as Employee ID is not a good practice, it needs to be removed. Good Luck !
