Status on Req in RQC compared to Shipment status on WH80

A req in RQC shows a req as Processed.
A Shipment status on the same req number shows a status of Closed.

On the example I have attached, there is a b/o or 10.

Is the status on the WH80 for the shipment number to show the qty that was shipped is Complete?

It sounds as if the director thinks these two status messages should be reflecting the same thing, but when I look at them, that's not how I understand it.

There is no link between the two documents. The req would start as unreleased while being entered and then move to released and then in-process and finally closed. Could also be canceled depending on where you are in the process.
The shipment would happen after and separately.
Make sense?

Makes sense.
This req was for an order of 75. The RQC Status shows a status of "Processed", with 10 on Backorder. The PO shows 2 shipment numbers.
Both shipment numbers show closed.
The one representing the b/o doesn't show a quantity shipped.

The user is also saying she received all 75, so I would think that both shipping numbers in WH80 would show the shipping qty on the line tab since the status on both shipping numbers is closed.

I would also think the req would have a status of Closed instead of a status of Processed.
