Is there a way to create a Smart Notification when someone has something in their ProcessFlow inbasket?

Yes indeed, all it takes is some analysis to find in which table in LOGAN (WF*) this data is stored, create an infoset on this resultset in SN. You will find 2 options regarding how the notification is triggered: a/ a job that runs quite often to refresh the infoset (itself using the 'has new keys' condition) would do the trick; b/ in your PF, you actually intiate the infoset data refresh using a webrun node, your notification still using 'has new keys'.

How is the work unit getting into their inbasket to begin with? If it's via ProcessFlow, why not just send the email as part of that flow?

Could you move this thread to the right place, John?

Not really sure whether it should go into the 'ProcessFlow' forum or the 'Smart Notifications' forum, so I moved this thread to the "ProcessFlow" forum. I really wish I had a way to have it show up in both....

It is also possible to use the "Escalation" feature of the User Action.  Unfortunately, the email is not sent immediately.  I believe 1 hour after the workunit hits the Inbasket is the soonest the email will be automatically generated.  This requires the user email address be setup in RD30.
