Portal Page Designer bug

Hi Everyone,
I think I've found a bug with the portal page designer and wanted to see if anyone has a workaround.  We're setting up an online screen that will be used for effort certification (modeled on the sample for CHOP that was published in the guru letter last year).  The page consists of two elements:
1) DME query showing all uncertified effort records.
2) Formlet to the GM65.2 screen.

The DME query is linked to the GM65.2 screen so that when a user clicks on a row in the DME query it pulls up the record detail on the GM65.2 screen.  This all works beatifully if the employee has 5 lines or less on their effort record. 

If you select an employee who has more than 5 lines and then try to select another employee from the dme query it doesn't update the GM65.2 screen(it updates all the key fields correctly but doesn't inquire).  It seems like it gets stuck on the employee with more than 5 lines.  It seems like the position to field on GM65.2 is the problem(leaves position to set at 6) and that I need to clear out the value if I go from an employee with more than 5 lines to one with less than 5 lines.  Does anyone know how I can clear that field when a user clicks on a record in the DME query?  I tried changing the formlet refresh property between key changes and always and that doesn't seem to work.  Also tried to set a default value on the position to field (Page element mapping) to '1' but that didn't work either.
