AROITEMS - Open Amount???

Could someone provide some insight on if whether or not the AROITEM_OPEN_AMOUNT derived field can still be used for calculation purposes, even though this field may not be viewable from within a Lawson Production Database? I completely understand that no data is stored in this field.

What is the purpose of this field being referenced on the LawsonGuru site and there is no way to reference or leverage it for invoice open amount identification purposes.

Any insight or guidance provided is truly appreciated.

According to the Lawson command 'derfldrpt prodline' the AROITEMS OPEN-AMOUNT is computed by the following forumula: ORIG-AMT - (ORIG-APP-AMT + ORIG-ADJ-AMT)

So, if you are looking to evaluate this "field". I'd do so by using this formula..
