Greetings,
I am doing some exploration on the creation of a Total Rewards Statement. I am looking to design something that would basically consist of an employees total compensation package that could be accessed, for example, in Employee Self Service.
I'm wondering if Lawson can be used to provide this type of information and if any other organizations have tried it, and if so,
1. What can you share about how you prepared for this type of project?
2. Did you have to purchase any additional modules?
3. If you created a report, do you have a template you can share, (assuming Crystal Reports was used as the tool to build).
4. What were some roadblocks you experienced along the way that would help other organizations to know about?
5. What was the approxomate time it took to project completion?
6. Since implentation, what's been the overall reaction to this?
Thank you for your feedback!

We created our own Total Rewards Statement. Years ago we paid an outside vendor to do it for us and then we stopped doing anything for a few years. A couple years ago we had small project team organized to see if it was possible to do in house. We looked at other examples and came up with ideas. I created a few crystal reports as examples and finally landed on a final version. I don't recall how long it took but it was received well. We created a yearly and bi-weekly statement. I am bursting by userid in the report and created a bookmark within ESS to link to the bursted pdf. The biggest roadblocks were on the technical side. The report is built with sql and some codes hardcoded so when changes are made to plans or codes, we have to review the reports to make sure they are still working. I would add that your employee's will analyze the statement so make sure it's accurate and correctly identifies employee vs employer contributions

Hi Greg, thanks for your input. Do you happen to have a template of a Crystal Report you can share, or perhaps a screenshot of what your final output looks like (with actual data hidden of course
.
I'd likely be the Analyst that puts the statement together, and trying to get a feel for what tables are used. Just trying to get the creative wheels turning. Thanks!
