maybe a really dumb question....or maybe one that has been covered out here before....but here it is...

Can SSRS (SQL Reporting Services) be used with LBI or is it required that you use Crystal?

Any success or failure stories using something other than Crystal?

SSRS is very easily embedded in LBI since an SSRS report can be rendered in a URL. You can embed them in a dashboard. Authentication will be the big question. And if you want the bursting capabilities built in with the Crystal component you will need to build that from scratch, which can be a big task.

It is my understanding that Crystal is the only reporting software that is currently allowed. Lawson plans to also allow SSRS at some later release but I don't believe that is available at this time.
