General question regarding what others do when a user changes job duties or assignments as it relates to what their access is within Lawson. For example, say a person changes the req location that they are responsible for. Usually you might go into IPA and change the filter plus RQ04 and if they are at all doing grants as part of that GM03. I know it can be done various ways, just looking at what others may be doing. Thanks ahead of any answers.

If they are just doing requisitions then all we change is RQ04. If they also approve requisitions then we go into IPA and change the filter. The unfortunate part is that we don't usually get notified until after they have changed job duties. This causes problems for approvers because the notification goes to the wrong person.

We have the same problem as Jim.  We don't get notified of the employee changes.  Has anyone develop a process to help with this?  Maybe an IPA process or teamed up with HR in some way?

We have used Process Flow (pre 10x) and IPA (10x) to create emails / notifications on a variety of changes across a number of the S3 modules, such as BN, HR, PA and RQ.  All used variables passed to the flows from S3 applications, such as BN31, HR11, PA52 and RQ04.  This required customizations to the applications to identify under what functions (Add / Change) and what variables (employee number, status, reason code, requester) to trigger the flow.
