When using Employee Self Service we are getting the following message. There are instructions for fixing this per employee on the Lawson support site. However is there a better workaround? A work around that would be "Self Service"?

If you have the Excel addins, it should be easy.
Use the Query Wizard to dump out FAMSTSHIST, then use the Upload Wizard to delete them from ES10.

Is there a way that the users can fix the problem themselves?

Not that I know about--however, I'm not sure that would be a good idea, since they might be deleting something they shouldn't be deleting... You could tweak the AGS call (or perhaps the ES10 COBOL code) to treat it as a change if they try to add it and it already exists. How often does it happen?
