has anyone had experience settting up benefits plans that need to deduct from a different number of payperiods being paid?  we have acquired a new company and their benefits need to be set up to deduct out of 24 paychecks, but they will be paid 26 pay periods.  Have had no luck trying to use BN04-seems like I'm missing something.....any help appreciated.

Thanks,
MC

Hi MC,

We have this setup for our vision plans - they come out of 24 payperiods where the rest of our deductions are 26 payperiods. We only run beweekly paycycles. We setup a new frequency table on BN04 called 2M (our regular table is BI). The biweekly divisor is set to 24 with the only deduction cycles x'd is 1 and 2. Then back on BN15 you have to select this new frequency table on the deduction tab.

In addition to making the changes MJ mentions, please be sure payroll procedures are changed to use a pay cycle that does not include 1 and 2 (in MJ's example of cycle numbers) when running the 3rd payroll of a month.
