I downloaded an exe file to correct a bug in the version of Fax Integrator we were running.

After doing so, Fax Integrator stopped working. After reviewing the log, we see that fax files are attempting to ftp in binary format instead of ASCII.

Infor says that the FTP configuration is not part of the Fax Integrator setup, but might be on the webserver side.

I don't fully understand how the Fax Integrator works. As far as I know, the user creates a PO in Lawson that has an issue method of Fax. The PO then goes from the Fax Integrator (not sure how?) , then from Fax Integrator to the vendor.

Where would I set the FTP settings to ASCII if its not on the Fax Integrator pc?

If anyone can explain the basic steps of how Fax Integrator works with Lawson and how to manage the fax settings, that would be helpful.

Fax Integrator can be set up to log into the server via FTP to grab the files of PO's to be faxed.  These are created when PO120 is ran. I couldn't find any settings in the Integrator that specified binary or ASCII. I never had to specify it so the only thing I can think of is that the FTP service on your server is set to default to binary. Seems like this would have been a problem before though. You might have someone check that out on the server.

Figured this one out. There were two settings I needed to apply on the FI set up under Options/Processing.

I needed to add a destination folder.

Once I did that, fax files began to process.
