Does anybody know what file stores this data/field? My user is using this field to track some purchases and I am trying to create a crystal report.

Assuming you're Oracle or SQL Server, that is POPCRUF. If you have the Microsoft Add-ins tool, there is a table prefix translation in the query wizard you can use to find out what the table is based on the first 3 characters (UFP).
