Lawson-Certified Staff and Lawson Upgrades

Do any healthcare organizations employ (technical) Lawson-certified individuals?.

Also, do you handle upgrades such as 9.0.1 on your own or do you hire a Lawson-certified individual.

We sent our system admin through the certification course. When we installed LSF /websphere we hired Lawson consultants but when we upgraded from 9.0 to 9.1 we did this ourselves.

Standard upgrades we handle without support from Lawson or certified consultant. Traditionally we only pull in vendors to assist when there are major tech changes.

Lawson's stand is, if you are installing the software on a "new" server, you need certified lawson installer.

If the server is already installed with lawson software, then users can upgrade existing software without the need of certified lawson installer.

The lawson certification exams are not that easy to pass also. They are actually pretty good. So generally speaking, if the person is "current" on the certification(s) (they are valid for 2 years only), they are probably candidates worth considerations.
