I'm using Crystal Reports XI R1 with a regular ODBC connection and am trying to report on promotions for a set period of time and would like to try and find out (via PAJOBREQ) how many of the promotions were replacing existing headcount. I'm having the darndest time linking through between the two tables. Any suggestions in terms of structure/link type?

I'm not sure you're going to be able to guarantee an exact match/logic.
You can try going from PAJOBREQ to PAREQOFFER first. That will get you the applicant->employee link.
From there you can go to PERSACTHST and isolate the hire actions your company uses, etc. and probably get a good match.
