We just upgraded to LSF5/MSP3 on our Windows 9.0.1 environment and found out that it 'broke' the ESS Time Entry process.
Where an employee used to be able to press 'Update' on the period/daily time entry and keep their timecard records in the "Entered" status (Status code "0" in PRPENDTIME) until they intentionally 'Submit for Approval', now when 'Update' is pressed, the timecard status changes automatically to submitted (Status code "1" in PRPENDTIME) for all records in the pay period.
Any subsequent updates to the timecard ask the employee 'Do you want to re-submit the timecard?' ...when they never submitted it in the first place.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks ...Lance

I am testing out upgrade to Apps 9.0.1, EMSS version 9.0.1.2. I do not see the same issue you are having. When and EE enters time in Time Entry and selects the Update Card button, the card is updated with no indicating that it has been submitted for approval. If I change the numbers of hours on the card and select Update Card again, it does not ask if I want to re-submit.
Good Luck

Thanks Jodi for the follow up and for the comparative info.
As it turns out, Lawson Support informed us there is a patch for this issue. We applied CTP # 67717 (a "superceeding" patch) and it fixed the issue. The problem is in the HS36 program which is called by the ESS javascripts.
