FSA amounts over limit

On our RS plan type (FSA), the maximum contribution is set to $5000 annual. When I enroll online, I am allowed to go over the limit if I enroll into pending. This has worked properly for years and nothing has been changed on plan set up or enrollment set up.

If web enrollments are pended to BS31, the limit should notify the employee that they cannot elect more than the amount in the contribution limit field on BN18.5.

Has anyone seen this?

We had a similar issue one year during our annual enrollment period. I seem to remember that we changed the message (XML) file to explain limits and then ran reports to see if anyone went over the limits. The next system patch we took fixed the issue. Have you contacted support to see if you are on the most current version?
