Does anyone have an upload template for adding and deleting Dependents to HR13?
Thanks,

I haven't used an AddIn for dependents but I have used HR513 conversion program for uploading. If interested, I can add that format here.

This one is on the infor website - there's a few others for HR13_2, HR13_3, HR13_4
I used this one when I originally uploaded dependents for go-live

You can get all of the templates at Infor / Downloads / Product / Technology / Technology Sample Content / MS Add-Ins Spreadsheet

Thank you for the feedback. Mary, thank you for the spreadsheet, I am going to try it out in our Test environment today.
How do I tell which fields are required and which are optional?
Should I use the option "Try to Add, Then Change" when running the upload?
Thanks,
Dave

How do I handle the Sequence Number when uploading dependents when there are already dependents assigned to an employee?
Do I need to query EMDEPEND for each employee and pull MAX SEQ_NBR and then increment it by one?

My two cents in reverse order of your questions:
If you have existing depenents then yes you would need to query exisitng and then increment by one for any new depdendents for an employee.
I would think that if you are adding dependents to existing dependents that you would want to use ADD
as opposed to Try to Add then Change in case you don't get your sequence numbers correct on your upload
then you wouldn't over-write any of your existing information.
The only way I know to find out if a field is required or not is to CTRL/SHIFT/O and see if IsReq= True or False
I don't know if there is a listing anywhere.

This is my first time creating an upload from scratch. When I mapped the Excel columns to the HR13 upload wizard template, I noticed that your template didn't have any hidden columns in it. Correct me if I'm wrong but, don't I also need to supply all the hidden keys?
Also, when I tried to run it on TEST (just to see what error messages I'd receive - so I'd know where to go to fix) it threw an error that said: Invalid Date: EFFECT-DATE.
I used today's date and formated it like 5/20/2014. Any idea why it threw an error?
When I create a "New Definition" and I select HR13, it displays a long list of columns (many of which are hidden fields). Do I need to supply a value for every single parameter that is listed?
Thanks,
Dave

I looked back at my original load file and I didn't use effective date. the only date on it was the dependent birthdate and it was ok with a MM/DD/YYYY format.
These are the fields that I had on my file (and there were no hidden columns):
F9:EMDCOMPANY F11:EMDEMPLOYEE F13:EMDDEQNBR f18:EMDLASTNAME F20:EMDFIRSTNAME F21:EMDMIDDLEINIT F22:EMDACTIVEFLAG F25:EMDEMPADDRESS F47:EMDDEPTYPE
F27:EMDRELCODE F53:EMDSEX F49:EMDBIRTHDATE F24:EMDFICANBR F32:EMDADDR1 F33:EMDADDR2 F36:EMDCITY F37:EMDSTATE F38:EMDZIP F42:EMDHMPHONENBR F74:EMDHLCOVFLAG F76:EMDDNCOVFLAG F78:EMDDLCOVFLAG

You know...I never did find a area of the site actually called "Downloads"...all I knew to do was search for something, like "HR13" or "Add-Ins" and that would yeilds results in two categories, Knowledgebase and Documents. Is THAT the downloads section?! I don't know! I ended up opening a ticket with Infor and the technician emailed me a ZIP file of over 500 templates! lol

I don't know if this is the problem you had but it took me forever to realize that our contact manager hadn't set me up with the correct profile on InforXtreme to allow me to see the downloads category.
That zip is the
mystical
'addins template' zip though, pretty much all the templates people indicate are up there for download are in there.

Hi - I can't seem to download/find the upload template for HR13 with addition of HR13.2, etc so I can upload employee dependent health, dental, and life selections. We currently do not house dependent information in Lawson (use and outside vendor for enrollment, etc) but we do house employee benefits. Any help would be appreciated. I think I can figure the HR13.1 portion, it's just linking it to HR13.2 so I can upload dependent benefits as well.
