Does anyone have an upload template for HR22 to change/delete rows? We've just loaded in a bunch of records and we now need to change/remove many of them. Our standard template won't work with just changing the "FC" to C/D. Cannot figure this out at all!
Thanks for your help.

I haven't uploaded to that form before, however, looking at it, there is not a position to field. Generally in cases like this, to upload deletes/changes, you have to delete all records and then add them back in.

Are you trying to delete the whole record (i.e. remove the JCN's entry all together) or just remove a single line within the record?
If you are trying to do the first, don't switch the FC code, just use the delete function.
If you are trying to do the second, you'll need to use hidden key fields. Use shift+cntrl+v while on the form and switch to the Req Coll 'tab'. That's the list of fields that the form is using to control which actual line gets updated. One of them will probably be the HK field as well, which is normally built using the other hidden fields.
Include all those in on the upload wizard and it should let you add/change/delete to your hearts connent.
If you have access to Lawson Xtreme, check out KB1478088 - they recently did an interactive briefing on how to build an upload for PA52 which covers pretty much everything you'd need to know with respect to doing something for HR22. (edited to correct 11 to 22)

Sam, thanks for your response. I'm trying to remove rows under each Job Code, as opposed to the whole job record. And I've played around with the hidden key, based off what I found in the Req Coll screen. The issue is that according to that screen, the HK value is 9 characters long, but the 4 fields that concatenate to form it (Company (4 chars), Job Code (9 chars), Country (2 chars), Occupation Code(4 chars)) result in a HK value that's way longer than 9 characters. I've tried various combinations and formats for the HK value to no success.
That's why it would be really great if someone knows specifically how the HR22 upload works as I'm clutching at straws at this stage! :)

Thanks Mary - unfortunately that's the only template for HR22 we originally got from Lawson. Seems like nobody in Lawson knew how on earth a change/delete upload worked either!

I may have lead you down the garden path. :-)
Just tried it myself and the thing that's actually probably stopping you is a missing XMIT value. It starts off as 0 and you can do changes via that but it looks as if deletes need you to use a value of 1. Was able to add, change, and delete while passing that as the XMIT.
I did have to include the hidden fields for the job and country codes, but I was able to leave out the HK field.

I have the XMIT set to 1 on mine - it uploads 1 line and then gives me an error, but I haven't got the hidden fields for job and country code added, so I'll give that a go and let you all know how I get on. I assumed it would need the HK field in there as it doesn't seem to be properly inquiring between each line on the upload.
