Pending benefit transctions for EOI

I am new to Lawson and we are on Portal version 9.0.1.  For benefits that require EOI, is there a way to pend the transaction until EOI is completed.  Currently, we are backing out the payroll deductions for any benefit with EOI.  For example, the AFLAC plan, everyone needs to have an EOI, so we back out the deduction and wait for the approval to manually update the deduction.

Did you ever figure this out?  The EOI field is not currently used but we may start and I am not sure what will happen when we do.

No we have not figured this one out. For elections that need EOI, we manualy edit the election the the GI amount, wait for the EOI approval, then manually edit the election again.

We do the same thing - edit, wait for approval, edit. I think when I asked before about it I was told that the EOI field really doesn't do anything.
