Hello- we are a NY employer just adding a new enity located in Pennsylvania for the first time. We use Lawson/BSI . We have some questions regarding the tax authority set up and assigning the PSD codes and in addition tracking the PSD for tax reporting. . I see that we need to set up the codes on PR06.1-PR69.1.
When checking BSI for a home address, for example, we see that we need withholding for Eldred Borough and also Otto-Eldred School District. Would we need to set up 2 tax authorities and assign each a PSD code and also a unique deduction code?? ? Is it a one to one relationship?? The names in BSI are different than the PA state guide so I think that is adding to the confusion.
This is all brand new and my head is spinning !
Is there anyone who would be willing to share any expertise to get this a little clearer? It would be very appreciated !!!!
