Position Turnover report

I'm trying to create a position turnover report from Lawson but not sure exactly where to start. I need to have starting positions number, hire/term, and ending employee number for that specific month. Does anyone have a template I can get started on? Crystal / SQL / SSRS, doesn't matter. Thanks.

Do you need to account for movement between positions? Just curious. We do organizational turnover. I've thought about what you are describing. I think you'd need to incorporate the PAEMPPOS table into the query.

How do you want your turnover to appear?  Do you want turnover by month and then cumulative turnover in the same report?

 

I am curious how others may be creating the report.

We create the report by using Dashboard Gear's software - sweet! Turnover in 5 minutes
as opposed to 3 days, both positional and terminations.

If I want to run it for the calendar year 2015, will it display turnover for each month and then give the total for the year? Is it real time or is there a one day delay?
