SSNs beginning in 776 and 874

We have two new hires that have Canadian citizenship that we loaded to our system with SSNs beginning with 776 and 874.  An interface that updates other information on their record is erroring out because it does not like these SSNs.  When we go to SSA.gov they  error out in a test because of the first 3 digits, but these are the numbers on their SSN card.  Any ideas?

Hello - Look @ the JT-202575 , They started adding the new SSN series in JT-202575 .
