Tracking users in ESS

Is there any way to track if a user has been using one of the ESS functions?  We have a case where a person swears they completed open enrollment but we have not been able to find where that enrollment actually occurred.  We checked ProcessFlow and did not see an email confirmation and this has led to a broader discussion of how can we tell if a person has accessed ESS.  Does Lawson keep track of logins?  Does your company have some way of keeping track of changes made by users?

You could dig through the web server access log file(s). But that won't tell you what they did, just that they had been there and maybe which pages they had been looking at.
Can't really confirm (or deny) that any action was taken on a specific web page.
