We are being forced to consider other HR/Payroll vendors in response to the new system foundation in version 9. Does anyone out there plan to (or currently) use Linux instead of HP-UX? We are UNIX, Oracl DB shop and expect to grow from a 20k employee company to approx 80k in the next five years and are concerned with scaleability/cost of servers.

Lawson does not support Linux currently... so no option there if you are sticking with Lawson.

NetAspx did a really good presentation dealing with horizontal scaling a lawson environment at a MidWest user group last year. Contact them to see if they will provide that detail to you.
