A batch program replicating PR23 edit checks

We hav been asked by the users to create a batch program which should delete all records in EMPDISTMAST table (updated by PR23), takes an input file from another system and do the same edit checks as PR23 and then populate the table. In their words, it should invoke the same AGS/DME calls that PR23 uses. What is the fastest way to do that?
Note: I will be learning Lawson programming as I do that.

Why don't you use the Excel upload wizard??

When we try to use add-ins to upload data to PR23, it asks for keys. It doesn't allow updating all at one shot. I tried couple of different options and it asks me to enter keys.

I haven't tried that particular form, but you should be able to upload against it. You probably just need to map to some of the hidden fields. The best way to figure it out is to use Portal to enter against the form, and then use Ctrl-Alt-A and look at the Transaction XML. It should show what values have to be loaded.
