Error: 5 - .dtl File and RptMap Version Mismatch

After the migration from 8.0.3 to LSF9 enviornment (Hp-UX) this error appeares when trying to view any report prior to the migration date.

Now, Lawson suggest reruning the report (which does work) but there are some people out there that has, well, how do we say 'years' of reports. 

It was suggested to run a srgen productline which did happen and did not resolve the error/issue. 

Any thoughts on how to correct this other than reruning years of reports?

There is one work around and that is run a report replace the old report w/ the time stamp on the new report. 
I'm looking to see if there are other options, also would like to know what could have caused this error?
