Has anyone experienced nodes duplicated in the flows.  User action nodes or a Branch?  The duplicate node has the same id.  Any ideas how this might happen?

There are some nodes that allow you to "name" them, like a UserAction, when you design them. You have to be careful not to do that as it can cause problems. Also, avoid naming nodes with the same name as a varialbe - that can get nasty too.

I actually find it helpful as I review my flows to have names that make sense to me.   I would agree that you should be careful naming nodes but if you just use names that are well defined you should be okay.   To David's point it might be good to use coding in the name that would not be repeated.   For example: naming a branch - BRdeptverify instead of just naming deptverify.

As for flows with duplicate nodes just appearing I have never had that happen but you have to be careful with the copy and paste of nodes because sometimes they get pasted somewhere that you can not easily see and then you don't exacly know where they came from.

Good luck - hope this was helpful.

For individuals who rename the Nodes as they build a flow duplicates would be rare.

But...

If you don't rename them process flow will and does drop in duplicate numbers on you. It has happened to me on several occations. you will be plugging along and all of a sudden your connections go all over the place.  Just take out the new node and drop in another.

Or just get in the habit of changing the names.
