Ming.le Foundation Install

Our server team created a VM with 2012 R2.   SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server 2012 have been installed on the server.  Do I need to tell them to rebuild the VM using Server 2012?   I went ahead and tried the Ming.le Foundation Core install and got to the point where it asks for Infor Ming.le Foundation Configruation.  Provide the information related to the Infor Ming.le Foundation.  It asks for a user name(domain\user):. By default it populated the spInstall account.   I gave it the proper password but all it does is give me an alert box: Please enter a valid user password.  -- I know I have the proper credentials, but I still get this message. Is this 2012 R2 taking a bite?  I tried a mingle service account and got the same message.   Should I be using the spInstall account or a generic mingle service account we created?  Do I need to install DSP first?
