I've administrative previlages to my comp. Successfully installed the Lawson Security Administrator.
As I enter the server, user name and password, I get the error

The certificate authority is invalid or incorrect.

Lawson’s KB article 556057 is not the solution to my problem.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if this the KB is an alternate method of doing this, but on a test system that doesn't have a CA certificate, try this:
Open LawSec client
Before entering credentials, doubleclick on the "Lawson" logo
Check "Ignore Certificate Errors"

Click on certificate warning to get the screen shown.   Go to the url on top in the middle what looks like a lock then click on it, click on view certificate  install it to your pc by clicking next a few times 

You s/b getting the same issue logging into lawson
It will be the same certificate that you use for lawson
