We are looking to move from TDS 6.2 to TDS 6.3 as part of our upgrade to ESP 9. Is anyone aware of any issues with the migration? Is there any benefit in going from DB2 9.5 to 9.7 at the same time, or does 9.7 not give additional function to LDAP processes.

Any advice or experience would be useful

Good Afternoon. We are attempting to migrate to TDS 6.3 from 6.2 on Aix 5.3 and we are having issues straight away from the start. Has anyone else attempted this and run into an error where on the command db2set DB2_SELECTIVITY=YES it fails instantly saying root does not have authority to run this command. It has even failed in the stock install scripts with a message saying " " does not have authority. Looking like it doesn't know who is running the commands.

We have tried numerous things found on the IBM support site and we have not yet been successful.

Any thoughts, ideas, similar experiences would be appreciated!

Although not AIX, we have had no luck running any DB2 database script as root. We have to use our tds* users that actually own the database(s).
