lase doesn't start after upgrading AIX

We upgraded AIX from 5.3 to 6.1 (on our test machine for now...) and nothing else has changed

db2 is fine, ldap starts up as well, but lawson won't start.  I've traced it to startlaw, where it is trying to load startlase

When I run startlase manually it runs to completion (apparently) saying: lase:  security environment 9.0.1.5.174 2009-08-07 04:00:00 (200910) started.

However, when I try to run lase, it says 

/>startlase
lase:  security environment 9.0.1.5.174 2009-08-07 04:00:00 (200910) started.
/>lase
Security environment not running.

I've got a call open with lawson, but I'm checking here as well if anyone has had this issue and has any clues/leads.

(So far lawson has suggested I reinstall bouncy castle - which, following KB AR_550334, was already installed and didn't get overwritten, but I went through that as well, they also suggested copying some jar files over from production - which works - but our test server still doesn't want to start lawson, being stuck on the lase step)

Ah, I think I found why.  KB 5431593 - basically, LSF has to be reinstalled after upgrade to AIX 5.3 -> 6.1

Would be nice if this was detailed in any of the version matrices... lol

Audience - Lawson System Administrators, Lawson Installers

Yes you will need to reinstall. The reason being is that there is a different download for LSF 9.0.x on AIX 6.1. Here the steps you will need to follow:

Download the same version of LSF 9.0.x that you are currently on along with any of the post LSF 9.0.x patches, for AIX 6.1.
Follow the steps that are documented in the Lawson Core Technology Installation Guide.
Issue the
java -jar XXX.jar
where XXX is the filename for this product, Select the Revert Option

Note: When prompted to load the lawsec_inst.ldif file, select Continue, as there is no need to load this file when using the Revert Option.

Next, apply the post patches using the Batch mode(Chapter 6). Do not include the base LSFCT.jar file with any of the post patches or using the Batch mode. Complete all of the post-install procedures.

Follow the same above procedures for the Portal install.

Failure to reinstall LSF with the correct deliverable will have unpredictable results.
