Cons for environment and LBI in the same server?

I am in the process of preparing to install LBI. I am wondering what's the pros and cons or if it's even feasible to put LBI in the environment server?

I do notice by not putting LBI seperate, I can use SSOP instead of DSSO for user authentication. Any thought?

From a technical perspective it's absolutely possible, however, it wouldn't be a supported configuration.
