We are currently using version 8.0.3 Applications, 8.0.29 Environment and Crystal Enterprise 8.5. We will be upgrading soon and I am trying to find out if anyone knows what versons of Crystal are compatible with the Lawson 8.0.3 Environment. We will be moving to the Lawson 8.0.3 environment later this summer, with a move to 9.0.0 sometime next year. So that is two Environment upgrades and I am only looking to make one upgrade of Crystal to the highest version available that is compatible with the 8.0.3 Environment.

Are you using Lawson's OLEDB Provider?
Are you referring to the Crystal Enterprise version or the version of the Crystal Reports designer?

We do not use the Lawson OLEDB provider. 8.5 is the version of Crystal Management Console that we are using right now. We are also using Crystal Reports 8.5. I just wanted to know if what is the highest version of Crystal is usable with both 8.0.3 Lawson Environment and Version 9 Environment, so that we only need to upgrade Crystal once.

Based on your description, I'm guessing that you're running Lawson Enterprise Reporting, which was the original Crystal integration attempt from Lawson? As far as I know it works with CE 8, 8.5, 9, and 10. Except for the integration (i.e. viewing a report from within Lawson Portal) there's no other reason to be concerned about which version of CE you're using, since you're using your native database providers to access the underlying database. Also, Lawson Reporting Services and now LBI use an embedded version of the Crystal engine, and don't use Crystal Enterprise at all.
