First I will preface by saying I've already uninstalled and re-installed Internet Explorer 8 on this machine.

It is the only machine we have this issue with. I have not seen this with any of our other users.

Basically when a crystal report is run from the LBI interface the window opens but IE bombs out with errors such as :

(Related to crv.js)
Message: 'Image' is undefined
Line: 271
Char: 13
Code: 0

(Related to crv.js)
Message: Object doesn't support this property or method
Line: 106
Char: 9
Code: 0

(Related to ersRequestHandler.js)
Message: 'bobj.crv.stateManager' is null or not an object
Line: 50
Char: 1
Code: 0

Anyone seen something like this? Is she just missing an add on or some kind of service pack?

So, you're NOT having this problem on other machines that are running IE8?
If that is true, my guess is that you need to add the LBI host to the trusted sites in this machine's browser.

Yeah but LBI itself opens fine. It seems to be a problem with crystal reports viewer specifically. I may have our helpdesk just refresh her machine. And yes all our other machines we have no issues like this. It's just her that seems to be unable to open a crystal report viewer session.

(i.e. she runs the report, the window opens, javascript errors ensue)

Perhaps an old/outdated version of Java ? Just guessing at this point.

Make sure the LBI server is in her trusted sites.

Actually, this is often the cheapest solution :)

OK.

Applying all Windows updates and IE updates resolved the issue. (sigh)

Thanks everyone
