Dashboard to publish crystal reports other than LBI

You buy the full crystal enterprise and bring up a new non-lawson crystal report server. The full install has it's own InfoView which is similar to LBI Dashboard.

If you have enough licenses you could consider making them Lawson users just for this purpose. Set up a portal role that will only give them access to the dashboard. It is just another "webpage' to them. We did that to deliver financial reports to non-Lawson users.

do they have to be delivered on the web or can they be emailed as attachments?

We use Crystal Report Server...

Hi,

Can some one recommend a solution that can be used to publish crystal reports other than LBI? We have third party software that needs some crystal report development and these users should not be a Lawson user. We need to publish the reports to some kind of dashboard for the users to generate the reports.

Any ideas and suggestions most appreciated.

Hi Thomas, I have developed a solution (called DecisionPoint) that has a very simple end user web interface to their reports (i.e. it has a security model), figures out the parameters for a selected Crystal report, supports binding to the database for dynamic parameters, etc. No requirement for Crystal nor for LBI. Currently in "early adopter" phase. See attached for a preview...
