I have some labor distribution reports I'll be publishing every two weeks and this historical reports will stay in the dashboard.  We'd like the report description to show the reporting period the report is for.  Is it possible to do this without re-creating new portal and LBI jobs each time I run the report?

hmmm, thats gunna be hard. im not familiar with the options with LBO reports. if it was crystal you might be able to do something but would probably require some kind of server side programming.

the primary issue is that a published back office report in a dashboard canl show the date/time it was created, but in order to see the actual dates a report was run for, the user has to actually open the report and look at the parameter page (if we publish that) to see the dates included in the report

yeah, and there really is no other way to do that. perhaps you could try building that into the report name on the Lawson side, but Im not sure that resolves the issue.

that's what I've started doing now - I've renamed the Lawson reports to include the date, such as period end date. I was just hoping there might be another way.

The process becomes more labor intensive when I have to create new jobs each time I run, but it's not that big a deal.

You mentioned earlier that if it had been Crystal, some other options may have been available. I am working to rewrite this in Crystal - what were the other options you were thinking of?
