hyperlink in crystal report

We have LBI report that has heperlink for user drillaround. Unfortunately it open the link in current I.E Window instead in a new I.E. window that is not desirable. Does anyone know how to force hyperlink in crystal report to display on a new I.E. window?

All depends on what version of Crystal youre using, but here is how youd do it for CR 2008. When you create your link do not use the option for "Another Report", use "A website on the internet". This will then give you the option to open in new window.

Quick question: What if the hyperlink is to a Form, and it launches the form, but replaces the Crystal Viewer with "Page cannot be displayed"? The Hyperlink is setup as a URL and the hyperlink is keyed into the Formula Editor. How can you utilize the "Open in a new window" option, if it isn't an Enterprise URL?

be curious to see how the Form URL is formatted. Are you using LAL or just a direct link? Either way though you should still be using the same option as mentioned above.

Another possibility. If you create a hyperlink to a "website on the internet" and you are linking to a CR on your LBI server, there is a setting in the report's (the report containing the hyperlink) Output Options property page in LEI called "Hyperlink targets". Choices are Same window or New window. It affects all hyperlinks on the report.

It's actually M3 and Smart Office, so LAL isn't being used. I can paste the hyperlink if you like?
