Has anyone encountered this? I assume we are missing some other change that must be done after a new Report user is added to a Scheduled delivery for a report.
Here is the scenario :
(Note that any user we're adding in this scenario DOES have an email device set up, etc, etc)
1) Set up a schedule for a report, set the effective start date, etc, etc and a couple of users.
It runs fine, no problems, all the users get their email.
2) The next day we add 1 new user to the schedule (who has an email device, etc)
The report no longer runs at the scheduled time.....the instance is not created on the server, etc.
How can something as simple as adding a new user to a schedule like that cause it to fail? What are we missing here?

If the report has an existing schedule, and a new user/group is added to the report, you will need to add the user/group to the schedule as well. Not doing this shouldn't affect the scheduled job from running. I've never seen the result you are noticing but my hunch is that two are not directly related. Is the schedule still active? Any errors in the logs around the time this schedule time?

No. First we (by default) add an All Users role to all reports when they are created. Considering the layers of security throughout LBI this was fine for us. There were no errors.
In fact I have been able to reproduce a very strange effect where if the schedule reports do not run, I go into Maintain Report Schedules, and start clicking on the schedules and almost immediately the emails start hitting the inbox's of the configured recipients. Its as if I have to "wake up" the schedule by going in and clicking on it.
This is usually the kind of hogwash you would hear from a user not familiar with programming concepts but I am telling you this is what happens. Its bizarre. Regardless we have not seen it happen again in awhile.

What version of LBI are you on?

i would check your log files for any strange errors. theres nothing in LBI that would support any of this as a valid action. you may just have a corrupt installation.

Ok. I guess I will have to wait for another instance then and investigate into everything I can. I just wanted to make sure there wasnt some known bug that would cause this. If I ever figure out what caused it I will post results
