Hi,

We have many LBI reports that are scheduled. Is it possible to limit the number of saved instances in the HISTORY section of the LBI report? For example, Customer A want an LBI report scheduled to run every Monday. They only want to have the last 6 scheduled reports saved. Is there a way to "purge" reports older than this without going in and manually deleting them?

I ask because an issue recently came up where server space is almost at max capacity and the thought is that these saved historical instances may be taking up space. If we remove, archive, or purge old reports that we do not need to retain, this should help our issue, but we are not sure if this is possible.

Thanks for your input.

go to Report Details of the report in question, click Advanced and set the number you desire in the "Archive instances after total number exceeds " text box.

Matthew: That will just archive the reports, correct? I think the OP actually wants to delete archived reports programatically.

yup, that is correct. THe best option in this case is to put you archive folder in a different location than the RS repository (as this is the default set up) and write a shell script to delete periodically as I dont know of any function in RS to do this automatically.
